My mission

Having lived for a sufficient number of years, I realized that I wanted to live not only for my family and relatives, I also want to help people who are less fortunate in this life. People whose fate is much harder and more tragic than ours.

I made the decision to create a personal mission statement for myself. This is the thing that will define me in the future as a person. What I want to share with you.

I caught fire on this and day more than a year ago, when on one and ordinary days, when I was cooking in the kitchen, they knocked on my door. There were two boys on the prog who looked about 10 years old. They didn’t look very neat, it immediately became clear to me that these two boys were homeless.

They came to ask me to pick up a bottle of water for them, which of course I did. But I didn’t immediately let them go, I was very curious why two such young guys looked like that and what happened to them.

I suggested that they go to my kitchen and feed them, I immediately noticed how they wanted to, because at that moment I was baking a cake, and the smell of fresh pastries was carried around the house.

And I sat them at the table, took the freshly baked cake out of the oven and fed them.
While they were eating, I asked them to tell them about their life story, what had happened to them and why they were forced to beg for alms from strangers.

Their story touched me deeply, what they told me worthy of a whole separate post. When they got to leave, I offered them some money, but they refused, and said that they would be happy to try my homemade cake again, thanked me and left.

I didn’t sleep all night of that day and thought about how lucky I was in life, in contrast to people who just want to feel like homemade pie.
At that moment, I felt that I had to create a goal for myself in life in order to somehow help such people.

In the morning I began to search on the Internet how to formulate this goal for myself more clearly, I came across a site that explained the concept of personal mission statement. After reading the definition, I realized that this is exactly what I was looking for.

Also on this site I found instructions on how to create a mission for myself. A few hours later my mission was ready

My personal mission:
To help people by virtue of their capabilities, to make the world a little bit better, as much as it is in my power

From that day on, I decided for myself that I would give out one day a week, devoting it to full cooking of dishes, which I transferred to the help center for the poor, which I still do today.

Oddly enough, I don’t feel tired at all, I don’t feel bored. Everything is quite the opposite, since the day I formed my personal mission for myself, I became more sensitive to myself, I had an additional incentive and purpose in life.

Yes, this is a goal that has no end result, because the poor will always be there. But in any case, now I feel better.
